Default Loud humming noise in the rear driver side?!?

Hello all,

My wife's 99 Sonata V6 has got a really loud noise coming from the rear driver side. It sounds like a humming noise that gets really loud right when it reaches speeds of 45+ mph. My guess it that the bearing is shot and needs replacement?? What do you guys think?? Thanks...

95% sure its the wheel bearing

Also check to make sure the fender liner hasn't fallen onto the tire.

Ya, I'll get the bearing checked out. How much damage should I expect?? Should it just a be a simple removing of a few nuts/bolts, pull out bearing and replace, or will it be a pretty complicated fix??

Not sure on the sonata. On the elantra the rears are easy, the fronts are a bitch.

I had my front drivers side baring go out on my 97 tib and it was a bitch but pretty sure that its cuz most of the stuff on the car is factory!! LOL!! Not anymore haha!! New barings, struts and new alignment!! I could've gotten a new car!! Hopefully yours are a little bit easier since its a newer car and all mine was just a bitch cuz its an 11 year old car!
