Default What's your mileage?

I'm just thinking that mine is crap....
A friend of mine has a 93 Prelude SR-V, and gets much better mileage.

Mine is a 1995 2.0 Sonata.

Best highway mileage: 26 miles per gallon.
Best city: 17-18 miles per gallon.

Frequently goes much below this. I typically get about 180-200 kilometers to a tank with city driving (45 L tank?), and from 350-400 on the highway, driving from 90-140 km/h.

i just finished a road trip to detroit from chicago and got about the same figures, about 115 miles per quarter tank, 460 miles total. check your tires because flat tires wastes gas.

Default Re: What's your mileage?

My car has about 200,000 miles on it, and the tire pressure is always fine.

If in canada, so most of the time I use kms and litres. When I say mpg, that imperial measurements. I only use this as it's what I'm familair with for fuel economy. Most internet sites and magazines use it so I do too....

So I guess I am burning a lot of gas.... People have been telling me it's a 7 year old car and it's normal to use that much but I always would it weird. I mean - it's only a 2.0 four cylinder. It should use as much gas as a 3.0.

200,000 miles wow I was just whining cause mine passed 120,000 yesterday. My gas mileage leaves much to be desired also. I'm driving a 98 3.0 GLS.

Well - my car is pretty well all highway miles. I've know both it's previous owner and they were up on the maintenence thing. I guess it's normal.... maybe...

I get around 400km/tank on my 91 which has 150,000KM on it.

Quite suprisingly it passed emisions test with amazing numbers. Less then 10% of the limit output.
