If you have a '98 Sonata, then yes. It should have the 4G63 in it already, just non-turbo.

You might want to go to the Forced Induction forum and ask Hyundai4G63T about it.

Or you could just due a total engine swap and get a 6g72TT engine. It is a V6 twin turbo engine. The Sonata already has the engine just not turboed.

Please tell us what time do you want to run, and how much are you prepared to spend? that will give us a good idea. Also, have you considered insurance costs after modification?

Unfortunately, due to the weight of your car, cheap mods, are going to get you nowhere. Spend your money on coil over suspension, buy an air-filter, remove the resonators along your intake pipe, install a cold air induction pipe leading to your air filter, and try getting an exhaust manifold back exhaust system. i think that this is as far as you would like to go from the sounds of it.

or you could save up and do a engine swap and get around 218hp with non turbo version. Then swap your tranny for a manual, custom exhaust, and a nice simple nitrous kit.
