Default Picking up old Excel/Scoupe for Auto X

Good idea? You think?

I can get them for a dime a dozen down here...

Anyone familiar with doing this?
I have Autox'ed my Tib for a good while now, but I want something to beat..

Something I can gut inside and have a "Race Car" (LOL) of sorts...

Anyone have input?

Thanks

Hey man, I have been auot-xing my scoupe for the last 3 years and have now become competative. I run in the SM class because of my seats and motor swap. Get a good set of tires and brake pads. Check out the results from the first event of this year. The mustang is a cobra with lots of suspension, the 240 is turbo and so is the civic. We are all on race tires. http://home.att.net/~soloii/event022303/

I autocross an Excel, 91, but the suspension needs to be fixed. If I had more money for my Excel and if I didn't want it keep it stock height this is what I'd do:

1. Lower it with some Eibach/H&R/or Intrax springs.
2. Some 15's with a set of Falken Aziens.
3. Get a set of KONI Adjustable front Struts off of Tirerack.com
4. Also a set of KYB Gas-A-Just shocks for the rear.
5. A Strut bar I have a Shark Racing one on my Excel

If you want to see some pics of my Excel check out my profile and select the Excel...
I hope this helps ya out! I normally place about 50 outta 100 cars or 100 outta 200 cars with stock suspension height and crappy ass tires on 13's and the shark racing strut bar...
