Tire PSI at the track

I got some new tires to run at the strip, they are 195/50r15. so i went down on teh sidewall size a little, but i think that will be better

Last time I went out to the drag strip(1/4 mile), the first run I ran a 17.0. I then decided to lower my front tires psi to about 26 and left the back ones alone about 32. I have the stock wheels, I think they are the 195/55r15. After doing that the next two races I got a 16.8 and a 16.7 (my fastest so far, also I didn't have my header yet). So I noticed a difference with lowering the tire pressure.
