Default Anyone who has autocrossed...

Just wondering what modifications, if any are not allowed by SCCA rules and regulations. I realize that there are different classes and that all cars must be muffled but are there rules about NO2? Also wondering about wheel and tire sizes allowed and basically anything else that would prohibit me from competing this month. Thanks for your help.

Thanks bro. I do most of my web-surfing at work so a lot of these sites are banned because they are sports sites. I appreciate it though.

NO2 is not allowed in autocross. All NO2 bottles/tanks must be removed from the car before running any event. From looking at your mods, you're probably in SP (Street prepared) unless you have some sort of body modifications. Body mods go to Prepared, or maybe SM, SM2... possibly STS STX. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe to run in a stock class you have to run original size wheels.

Hope this helps a bit.

SCCA Rule book for solo2:

With your mods you'll be in STS. Pretty stiff competition, but good to learn on. Go too much further and you'll be in F Street Prepared, which actually is a slower class than STS usually due to the car in it (like the accent).

Yes to run in stock you have to keep the same wheel diameter.

Why would you want NO2 for autoX anyway? Just replace your NO2 bottles with a couple of fire extinguishers (2lb) and you'll be all set.
