never been to the track yet but for street i like revving up to about 2.5 rpms and maintaining. green light i drop the clutch and floor the gas. most times i get neck snapping start with minimal spin. anything over 4 rpms however is just wasting time.

i have 195/60/14 all season tires ( not stock rims or tires )

yeah I don't even rev it up at all. If I do then drop and punch it I can burn through second and way into 3rd. I've never hit up the track but when the street light goes green I just punch it from idle and they still will chirp hard into 2nd. I haven't been able to figure out another way to do it. I'm rollin the 03 tibby V6 on the stock 17's and michelin pilot sports. 8D

raise rpms to about 4k, pull clutch out ( not quite all the way) to prevent total wheel spin. After about 2 seconds i let the clutch out all the way, floor the gas pedal. At this point im at about 5k rpm and climbing. I then press the clutch in partially while still at full throttle and pop it out quickly. rpms jump to redline and i powershift to second. It all happens rather quickly.

on my old civic hatch i used to launch with the rev limiter bouncing (stage 4 clutch and just rode on the clutch until i shifted.
