peel off or not

what would you say is better to peel off or not
my friend always does he says it's faster. i don't and he always wins...of course with a 300zx he's going to but which is faster can you guys tell me

You dont want to spin the crap out of your tires. Then ur sitting still. Best runs are normally when you get a nice wherling sound out of them. The best thing to do is put the most amount of power down w/o breaking loose. Only way to really know your at that point is to spin them just a little. Does that make sence at all?

u basically gotta find ur cars sweet spot. depends on the tires u got to. with better tires. ull have better traction and be able to rev higher without peeling out.. basically the point i think thats trying to get across is that u don't want to "burn out" just sit and spin; but give them a little spinage to launch u outta the hole. correct me if im wrong..
