Do you do it? I noticed some people rev in neutral, then jam it into first right when they launch. Some people just put the car in first, rev (with clutch in obviously) and then punch it at the light. What are the benefits of shifting right before the light? Is it bad to launch with the car already in gear? :??:
They are idiots.. and is it bad.. no. Your just wasting time and running the risk of tearing up the dog teeth for first. Ive seen some really strange stuff at the track like that. My advise is to keep it in first and find a good rpm you launch from.

That's what I figured. I always launch already in first. I just thought maybe they knew something I didn't. But they don't.
