Default does any one race any of these events

i was considering buying a 1997 -2000 tib and racing scca show room stock club racing and solo2 in the stock class for a year and then hopefully picking up some sponsors and then racing in nasa u.s touring. i was wondering if anyone from this forum has any experince with any of these and any info would be helpful. i read the article in grass root motor sports about us touring and im real into it and it would be cool to race a hyundai because not enough people do.

i currently autocross a friends 1997 tiburon fx hence the name 8D.
the only thing done to the car is koni adjustable shocks and a k&n filter. we have not been able to find any catback exhuasts for it that look respectable.(nothing dyno proven) this car has 95000 miles on it and still running strong. the owner bought this car brand new and autocrossed it since day one. we just changed the stock brake pads at 95000. i have not personally open tracked or done any road racing with the car so i can't tell you how it does there. good luck on sponsors as we have been unsuccessful with the local hyundai dealers helping us out.

8D ah come on rob you also have to mention that you just started running with us and that i have been running for just over a year and hell i think scott has been running longer than we have been alive  give it some time and you will start kicking our butts since we run in the slowest class possible in the solo2 program. 8D
