hi there i have a question when you are at the track ;considering that here the temp is 88 to 95 degrees and can get as high as 102 in summer, hotter in the track since its near the beach doesnt the premiun fuel we get 93 help deal with that?? since my car have a knok sensor + hot air +low grade fuel=it takes timing back=power loose not nice to loose power at the track specialy at solo 1 in some categories they run on 110 vp race fuel

I believe you theory is at least somewhat correct. I live in Southeast Texas and it gets hot there in the summer. I was noticing a severe lack in power.. more so than the heat by itself should have caused so I switch to higher octane. It seemed to help. I still run low octane during normal weather but during high heat I move up. It makes since to me

thanks for the reply i am doing the same running on 87 when is not that hot and on the summer i switch to 93 and when you run 87 on a verry hot day you can feel the lack of power and the pinging on the motor:depressed: not good for the pistons:cry::

Just to add, I normally run 87 on the 98 accent now too, but before I go autocrossing or something I usually fill to about a half tank with 93oct.
