Saturday I ran at my first drag, I don't understand why/how things work.

I was in the left lane, but I don't get as my reaction time went up my speed went down.

What is a good way to have good reaction time and good speed?
and the best way to launch in a manual?

bet your car got hotter and so you were losing your highend. I do NOT run my car when im staging. I just push it up to the lights. I run it before my first run to get the water temp to 150, and then i try to keep it below 180. It seems to run the best there.

you have to look at 2-3thing 60foot time are the the most important thing if you want to run great time

a really nice 60foot will make a real nice ET but you'll have less trap speed

when you spin tire ofent you'll have a better trap speed but a slower ET

there are some Hp calculator you enter car weight and ET or trap speed

like me best 60feet as 2.308 wich is not that good and best MPH was 86mph with my tib stock i ran 16.26 !!

with a better 60' i would have ran 15 hi..... you can tell that with the trap speed of 86mph

Reaction time has nothing to do with ET or trap speed. Reaction time is just the amount of time between the light going green and your wheel breaking the staged beam.

About having a lower trap speed, BarMan is 100% correct.

I was driving my cousins stock 07 G35. The only thing done is some weight reduction.(I wish my car was that fast)

But it was my first time drag racing, I didn't understand the competition part at all until I read those sites that 03-Accent posted.

I prefer auto X a lot more then the drag racing though.

them times are horrible for a stock 07 g35 i thought they were high 13's all day

No, not even the 350Z are high 13's stock. Stock 350Z are in the low 14's while the G35 are mid to high 14's stock.
