have you placed the order yet man?

do you know the stock spring rates on a 2k2 accent gl (or anybody for that matter)?

could i get different spring rates instead of the 5/7kg combo? i dont want any additional cost and have 2 sets of springs...

actually- can you give me the ID of the coil springs (or the diameter of the spring perch)? i may already have springs that can fit right on the body that i can play with.

see my gf is about to have a baby and the springs i have on the rear now are just too stiff to be comfortable- plus i have a blown rr shock now... i just want to have a good smooth ride and still have the adjustability of shocks. my only other option is koni inserts which are $300 for the rear and then i still have to worry about new springs...

plus my inspection ran out last month too :nervous:

The order hasn't been sent over yet so there is still time to get a set if needed. Just need to make sure your really wanting a set as KSport doesnt have a lot of requests for Accents (probably because most people dont know they offer them). They dont want to get stuck with 5 sets of accent coilovers due to backouts. So let me know and I can add you to the order and put you on the list.

The stock spring rates are 7kg front and 5kg back. Which translates into around 390lbs in the front and 280lbs in the rear.

You can order extra springs but they all come with the 7kg and 5kg standard shipped from the factory. The springs should fit right on these as they shouldnt be much different in size from your originals. Just don't have actual sizes of the perch.

These should be arriving mid to end may so I will inform everybody when payment is due.

well see what i have right now are aerospeed sleeves and i was just trying to find out if the spring diameter off of these would work on the ksport body.

you say the 'stock' spring rates are 7kg and 5kg- surely you mean the rates that come on these coilovers. i was interested in knowing the spring rates that come on the car from the factory. i notice the getz package on the ksport site offers 5/3.5 standard...

**EDIT**
Through further investigation, the getz mazes out in 5door 1.6 trim as 2491lbs, the lightest being 2178lbs. the accent's lightest trim (99 model) being about 2101lbs and at the heaviest i can find only around 2350. so i dont see running even 3.5kg in the rear much of a problem but i like the extra stiffness for when i carry heavier stuff (like a spare engine/camping stuff etc). i still would like two 4kg springs for the rear though.

can i buy a half set (only 2) springs or does it have to be all 4? maybe i would swap the 5kg ones to the front and purchase extra 3.5kg (4 or 4.5 if theyre available) springs for the rear. what spring rates are available? only 3.5, 5, and 7 or can you get any incraments or what? sorry if that was explained already, i didnt see it anywhere.

when do you actually plan on placing the order. i know it will not arrive until may but when will you submit the request? and payment is due when they arrive in may correct? so once you recieve them we will pay and then they will ship from you to us, correct?

let me know if you can add only two 4.5kg springs for $75 and if you have a graph of the dampening adjustability on these shocks. its 6 bump and 6 rebound, correct? if you can get the springs i will take two 4kg ones, if they only come in sets of 4 then forget about it. i'm running very stiff swaybars so that will offset the bodyroll of lower spring rates but i need to make sure the shocks will still have enough dampening capability- which i expect they will. im just excited that i will now have full control of the suspension- i already have camber adjustment for the rear (and front but ill gladly swap my camber bolts for pillow mount adjustability) and my swaybars are adjustable so this setup would be pretty much limitless!!! and keeping the ride comfort is important thats why i am wanting to replace the 7kg springs.

i am 90% in. by friday at the latest i will let you know 100%.

ok its settled. im in 100%

if you can get me two 4kg springs for $75 then add that in. if not, just the basics.
**EDIT**

also if/when the pillow mounts are needed in the future, can just the bearing be changed or will a whole new pillow mount be needed?

and to verify, these shocks will work and be reliable (as in not blow the shock) lowered to the springs full capacity correct? the adjustability states 120mm of adjustment range, if we set the springs at the absolute lowest it will go, the shock will withstand the increased pressure/adjusted ride without failing correct? would the warranty be supplied through your company or straight from ksport?

Ok, I can get those springs but KSport recommends running no less than what comes with the coilovers on the front as if you put to low of a rate on the front and drop you car extremely low then more likely to bottom out.

It would be find for the 5kg in the front and less in the rear if needed.

As for the pillowball mounts they are one solid unit not just a bearing.

All orders are in but still time for any late comers to join in. Let me know.

Thanks,
Mike

no problem, like i said i am in on this. please add 4kg springs for the rear at $75. also let me know when payment is due, ill have the full amount by april 6th.

I am not concerned about bottoming out so much, it will only be lowered about 1 inch on 205-55-15 tires. this is my daily driver and i dont go extreme on lowering- i just want a very comfortable ride. i just wanted to know that the shocks have that capability not to be bothered by an extreme drop. it also means that they are durable along the entire travel length and harsher bumps are less likely to break something in the shock. i am not saying that theyre indestructable but thats just a good piece of mind for me.

No updates as of yet.

Order has been placed so really just waiting for the kits to make their way here. Payments won't be taken until the kits are confirmed in the U.S. Once payments received the kits are sent out directly from ksport to you.

Will keep you guys updated

Thanks,
Mike
