Got a problem. Leave it to me too come up with a problem. I was installing the left headlight and went to turn it on and the light did nothing but flecker for about 10 seconds. I waited for about 5 mins like the instructions say. No headlight came on. Now it also says you may have to up the amps on the fuse. Is this my problem needing a more amps on the fuse? The fuse is a 30 amp right now. I have put the stock headlight back in and now its really dim not lighting up much at all.uzzled:

you DO NOT have to up the amp rating of the fuse. this can cause damage to your wiring and actually start a fire. the maximum output current is 7.5 amps @13.8 volts. multiply that by two for both headlights and you have 15 amps total. DO NOT put a higher rated fuse in there.

chances are you just need to clean the contacts. go to radio shack and grab some contact cleaner, and some di-electric grease. spray the contact cleaner on the prongs, and then throw a wee bit of di-0electirc grease in between the male&female ends.

It could just be you got a bad set or it was damaged during shipment. If you troubleshoot and it still doesnt work, I'll have the kit replaced.

Ok I went out and install the other side being passager side and nothing happened. I was looking at my stock light bulb and it has 3 legs that plug in. The HID light only has 2 could that be the problem? The fuse is fine, but that left headlight bulb is still dim. What does that mean?

you could have ordered the wrong set, or just arent hooking it up right.

it goes..... headlight harness(that plugs into bulbs normally) to harness travelling with bulb wires through that rubber grommet. plug those two things together. that wire runs back to the ballast. then a wire runs from the ballasts to the HID bulb.

how dim is it. like barely any light? it almost sounds like you could be hooking the bulb up directly to the headlight power.

tibby01, Everything got hooked up right. Its plug and play. Something about that plug that goes into my stock lamp power, there is 3 and the hid's there is only 2.? I think you are right about getting the wrong set? The stock lamp is pretty dim right now. I am going out tomm and buying a new fuse see if that fixes that problem.

Uneek, you got mail.

a new fuse wont do anything. you would be getting no light at all.
