wow, is this the same kit you are selling on a BMW forum for $89 ???
seems a bit of a ripoff and a bad way to kick off your sponsership on this forum, ripping us poor people is not a good thing to do.
why are the prices diffrent??
this is one shady practice for sure.

Good evening everyone,

My name is Jim Powell. I'm the owner of Apexcone. I'd like to make some corrections to the posts regarding pricing.

I am currently in Asia and have been since mid-March. I am therefore not always in sync with distributors and retailers everywhere.

This was the case here.

During the introduction of some BMW lighting products, another sponsor on bimmerforums.com took exception to us having better pricing than he did on almost every product he sells. He tried to engage in a price war directly and since I live in Asia and buy more than he does, well, he got lower than he and his retailers would be able to sustain.

We on the other hand are happy to announce that although we are introducing these prices a month earlier than planned, we can tell you that both the Apexcone and DDM kits are now priced at $125.00 each with a 1 year warranty and a lifetime warranty is an additional $25.00. These are not sale prices, these are MSRP. They do not include shipping. They do not include any fused relay harnesses which are extra.

We apologize for the delay in getting word to Xenon Expert on this. I had been up for quite awhile and then was in this BMW forum for several hours. I had to get some sleep and could not contact all the retailers personally to let them know. My Operations people in the USA were off work for the weekend and it was just bad timing all around.

The good news though is that all of you as consumers get to reap the benefits early. I hope you will all forgive us for the confusion. We would like to thank the posters who brought this up, its great to get to lower prices and get the word out in any way that it takes. I know Xenon Expert would have liked it if I told him first. But he's delighted to be able to sell the same terrific product at an even lower price.

Thank you for your understanding. Please contact Xenon Expert for any further details.

Please watch the language. I will allow Xenon Expert to clarify the situation. If anyone has any legitimate proof of wrong doing, feel free to forward it to me. However, unless someone has some kind of evidence that Xenon Expert has or is doing something wrong, we WILL be civil. If this thread turns bad, I will prune it as I deem necessary. Thank you.

Apexcone, what is your relationship with Xenon Expert?

Apexcone is the manufacturer of Apexcone and DDM HID kits. We have offices in San Diego, Taipei Taiwan and Nanjing China.

We sell directly to Xenon Expert and try our best to coordinate MSRP between retailers. Generally we accomplish this. This time, I'm in China and Olivier, the owner of Xenon Expert is away from his home and in the backwoods of Maine with sketchy cell service.

My Operations Manager in the USA is off for the weekend and is entertaining old college friends from his home back in Georgia.

The perfect storm of miscommunication. I wrongly believed that my Operations Manager was giving retailers regular updates. In fact, he was not monitoring email.

In addition....

The pictures shown above are the 1st generation of the slimline ballasts. We just inroduced the second generation in the last week. It is a more cost effective product that is even more reliable. It comes from a different factory and is much cheaper to acquire. Therefore we can dramatically lower prices.

Xenon Expert should be able to post pictures when he gets to an area with internet service.

I'm Glad the Price Controvesy has Concluded..I really liked your products..

If i haven't bought my Halo Kit....I've had bought this one a long time ago..

oh well, now i know where to buy HID in case miny fails..For $125?even with shipping added..that's still less than what i paid for..i Paid $230 for mine.

Let me ask this..although some of us accent owner's have a headlight that use's one bulb..our HID bulb's dont' have a high beam and it's a PITA to see ahead in the dark.

would you happen to have a HID bulb that ahs both the hid bulb and a high beam bulb in 1?
I've seen it on ebay but was wondering if you have such a product.

Yes, absolutely. Listen guys, I am going to answer as minimal number of questions as possible in case Xenon Expert is still not at his office. But I am not a sponsor here, so please keep questoins that I may answer generic.

Please contact Xenon Expert for sales info. The Hi/Lo bulbs are available and can be retrofitted to your kit or any kit for that matter. Xenon Expert has more information.
