Default Elantra GT to GLS brakes

does anyone know if you can take the brakes rear discs from a GT and replace old drums with the discs, say a 99 elantra.

I think someone asked that same question on another board. I think you can but you have to make sure that it doesn't have abs. But I really don't remember. You may want to ask Random.

It should be possible, but you would have to replace the entire hub/bearing assembly, not just rotors/discs.

Your best bet would be to find a junked elantra or tiburon with rear discs, and take just about the entire side minus suspension components.

I looked through so many o junk yards and found nothing but a old elantra that had comillian paint. I was just going to go to the hyundai dealer one night and steal the rear brakes and everything off one of the new GTs.

I've you tried to find some off a tiburon. I think they can fit as well. But I'm not real sure on this.
