Default Lowering an Accent ('97)

Alright every1.
Basically I need some help, as I'm from England and no1 gives a **** about Hyundai's.
Could you please tell me, if by lowering my 97 Accent by 40mm, will I get any scub on my arches. And also, is it ok to have 17inch wheels, without having to modify the wheel arches.

Cheers. AD

You might have to "roll your fenders" which means rolling the lip inside the fender up.

Get coilovers, then you can adjust the height of your ride. I also just installed the stock rims from an Elantra (14"), They are a pretty tight squeeze with my coilovers, so with 17's you are going to have to do something; big!And don't worry about your country not liking Accents; cause when they do get appreciation, you'll be one of the first people from England! Right? So get out there, soup your Accent up, and kick some ass!

Either that or take out your front fender walls, they can be easly taken out by a philps screw driver and taking off your two front tires.

PAaccent what size tires do you have? Remember you can get alot lower profile for 17inch rims than you can for 14inch. There will not be much difference in the overall hight.

Rolling the lip should be enough.
