I was talking to Saint and few of you other guys yesterday regarding strut bar installation. For the rest of you memebers who have it, did you install it using a torque wrench or did you just tighten it up till you could turn no more? A friend of mine has a torque wrench, but the intervals are close together. The range is 29-35, but on the wrench it has 50, then 100 and about a quarter of an inch of space between. So its not too precise.

You should't need a powerfull wrench, Just one that will tighting them down snugly. Or so you cant tighten them down anymore.

I don't know if you need to use a torque wrench but I just tightened mine till I pretty much couldn't go anymore. Doesn't seem to have loosened any, and I have had for about 6 months now.

Depends how strong you are!
That's why torque wrenches are used - so the bolt is tight enough not to come loose but not so tight that it will break.
LOL! Yeah I didn't use one either, I just tightened it til it wouldn't go anymore and I haven't had any problems with it. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

To be honest I never use on either, I just go by what feels right(and hope I'm right).
I was just trying to explain that a torque wrench isn't used to do things up super tight, just the correct tightness.
