2 new tires: front or rear
For safety reasons, I am replacing two of my Nitto tires. One has a bulge from a pothole, the other has a little sidewall damage. I was going to put this off a bit, but last night I heard a chunk, chunk, chunk sound. I get out of my car and there's a giant furniture slider (metal cup, little rubber, and a bit thumb-tack spike) in the middle of my tire. I pull the @#$er out and of course, "hsssssssss." So I haul ass home before the tire deflates. Luckily, this was on one of the ones I was replacing anyway.
So now I have two new tires on the way and was wondering: should the newest ones go in the front or on the back. I would guess front, since they'll wear more and even out with the old ones faster. But I'm also worried about the back end swinging out on me (because of the older tires). FYI, the older tires were bought August, 2000.
Any thoughts? Thanks,
ac
