Default Remind me to smack Hyundai for thier Swaybar on the 01 Tib!

Jimmy (used to be my2001Tib) with the Eaton Supercharged tib here in WI came over last night for help on installing his coilovers from SR (The real deal). Everything was fine and dandy for the front, but the rears were a different story!

The little dohicky that connects the strut to the sway bar was impossible to remove. The nut would spin and spin, unless you clamped down the round washer looking thing that was the bolt. Impossible and took along time.

Installation went pretty good tho.
Nice job, and a nice lowering job.

I'll have him post pics soon.

Default Re: Remind me to smack Hyundai for thier Swaybar on the 01 Tib!

a nightmare, indeed!!
after about the 4th time re-doing strut/spring configuration, those damn "endlinks" stripped, so after throwing the old stuts against the floor for a bit, and after about 3 days or so, i went to hyundai and ordered new ones..so after spending $75 on these friggin things, i now have my swaybar reconnected....
which reminds me: out of the package there are brass rings around the joints..should i have removed them?? or is it ok to have them on?? i'm only asking cause the origionals did NOT have them on..do they just fall off? or were they not on the origionals at time of production??
