Hi, any of you guys could explain me the difference between Captive and Non Captive Rotors? How do I identify wich type is my Elantra? Can you switch from one to another?
Thanks

Go over to Team SR and do a search on "Captive" on the Braking/Whees/Tires/Suspension forum, and all your questions will be answered.

I just don't remember that topic being covered much over here, and TeamSR was the quickest one I can think of.
Thanks a Lot Guys. I'll take a look at my Rotors. Is there any difference in performance or else between both systems? Why do both systems coexist in one model?
Thanks again.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0 align=middle>
Err,... I don't think the 2nd one with the red brakes is captive,... the screws can be removed, they're used to line ups stuff when they're manufacturing the car.
