Elantra 94 suspension and brakes upgrade?

Hello. Does someone know if brakes/suspension components from other DSM cars can be fitted to 1st generation (94 model) Elantras? My 1.6 GLS has rear drum brakes, but I know that the 1.8 GT from the same year had solid discs in the rear. Anyone has made a swap? Is possible? Eclipse suspension pieces can be fitted? I know one cannot get rid of the rigid axle rear suspension (different to eclipses) , but I know 90's Galants have the same design. Are there any high performance parts that can be interchangeable? Or you recommend just different shocks, springs and stabilizer bars?
I ask this because I read that many parameters in the suspension for this car are fixed, so maybe those other cars have better parameters.
