Default Springs, Struts, and coilovers.

I just recently help a friend put a full set of springs and struts on his 240 sx, and after we where done, and wiped all the blood off our knuckles we drove down a very curvey road, and I was blown away at the difference they made, i mean i expected a noticable improvment, but holy darn not that much. So now I am in the market for suspension stuff. I have been keeping my eye on kyb gr-2 struts, and shark racing springs. I plan to autocross next season. Also i have been seeing arospeed coilovers everywhere for very very cheap, I dont imagine that arospeed coilovers or worth a dang for autocross applications are they? Thanks in advance for responses.

They are just sleeves and are worth crap when it come to handling. Sleeves are good if you just want the look. But they don't handle for sh!t

Yeah, if you're doing it for handling, then go for springs or true coilovers, which have the spring, shock and height adjustability built into one. Those cost a small fortune, but they are the best if you want height adjustability.
If you're on a tighter budget, then springs should do you just fine.

How long should I expect my stock struts to last with a set of eibach prokits, or shark racing springs? I know if i am going to go through the trouble of pulling everything off, then I should just go ahead and get struts and put them on while I am at it, but just if I am too broke, and cant wait....
