I had 205/60/14 on my 99. It was .4" taller, which meant the car was .2" higher. I would be really impressed if anyone can notice that change!!! The tires do fill the wheel well.

I had two sets of Michelin Pilots XGT H4. Awesome tires, great handling in dry,wet and snow. BUT at $120 each installed it's kinda of expensive!!! I'm now looking at the Falken Ziex ZE-512. Reasons are... the price looks good and they got great reviews in Consumers Magazine!!!!

I just ordered the Falken Ziex ZE-512 for $53 each. On my 99 I had the 14X6 alloys. If you have the 14X5.5 steelies, it might be too narrow for the 205s!!! Double check it before you order... and good luck :

Check out this tool. Its not to scale but should give a general idea of which tire will be taller/shorter based on size: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
