Default Re: Accent/Hyundai Alignments

this is all good to know since i half-ass aligned my car myself after wrecking it and rebuilding the suspension. that was about 6 tires ago. my tire warranty is almost up so i guess the economical thing to do is get a legit alignment. by the way, next time you get tires get the year warranty if its available, it comes in real handy

STEVE: an accent?
RICHARD: yeah, i hear you can swap a tiburon motor in it.
STEVE: you know what you should do if you want a fast car?
RICHARD:what?
STEVE: sell your hyundai. *kept the accent as a beater but now have a B20 CRX. its quick, but its still a stock motor and needs building. not a bad way to spend $1500.

Ok I got my tie rod replaced about a week ago and the shop that did it also did an alignment, ever since then the car has felt "loose" as hell on the highway. Just the slightest touch and the car swirves all over the place. Kind of feels like driving on the head of a pin.

Should I take it back to the shop, or are they going to say all is well and send me on my merry little way?

(I put new tires on at the same time so that shouldn't be the issue)

Any feedback (good feedback) is appriciated

check your tire pressure first. Then take it back

sorry to bring an old thread back to life
but i seem to have found a good mix for the road
not as aggressive as the AutoX guys from what ive read
im running KYB ExcelG's (the aussie version of the GR2 i think) and custom K-Mac coils with about 1.75" drop (unknown spring rate - but pretty damned hard, got em 2nd hand) and a whiteline rear swaybar, with 3degree castor bushes, heavy duty link kit and camber pins on the front
ive got -0.5 degree camber and factory recommended toe on the front and factory settings on the back
handles like a go-kart, with progressive understeer thats controllable with the throttle
a new CV goes in this week, and a new alingment will be done with about -0.75 degree front camber to stop the feathering on the outside of the tyre that im getting
