Default Car Grinds on Rear Wheels

I just recently put some DTM 17' x 7.5" wheels wrapped with 205/40/17 falken tires. Everytime my car takes agood bounce the wheels grin don the shock plate. the plate that protects the shocks.

I was wondering if you giys had any ideas on making the shock stiffer, I'm not worried about a smooth ride?

Or if thier were some shocks or springs I could buy to solve my problem?

You could try spacers on the rear wheels, that would move them out 1/4 of an inch and that might just be enough. I have 205/40/17's on 17 x 7 inch wheels and don't have this problem. The 1/4" spacer might do the trick but you will lose wheel threads. Almost half, and I don't know if this would be a big deal? The spacers are only $6.00 as far as I know. Your last resort might be to traid for 17 x 7" wheels. Good Luck!

The shock plate? Last I looked there's not anything protecting the shock... I think you might mean the spring perch, but the perch and tire should be moving at the same rate since they're connected... Got pics of what and where you're rubbing?
