Default installing K-sports on '97 X3

Hey guys

so I know this is REALLY simple(5 bolts and it's done for each one) but I need to know where these should be set before I put them on the car. I bought these off Beppomarx and do not yet have the dampening adjusters (getting them soon)

should I just adjust the ride height all the way up and put them on, and then go from there? or should I preload them? I dunno, me = coilover n00b

thanks

You can simply adjust them so that the total length is about the same as the stock strut, then once they are on the car, you can adjust from there.

For me, the fronts were close to stock out of the box, but the rears really needed to be raised up, even for an extreme drop.

Let me know when you install these, and I may be able to get some measurements for you.

shoot me an email friday at paul_przyborski@hotmail.com and remind me to measure for you.... i'm really, really low... probably at the limit for my wheel and tire size, but it will give you an idea....

also, my side to side measurements are very different to get the car level, with my passenger side needing to come down about an inch more than the drivers.... just a heads up....

10-4

I'll be running the stock 13's on the street with the pizza cutter tires, but for racing, I have skierd's yokohomas and hoosiers so I'll need to make sure those clear.

Thanks a ton dude, I'll shoot you a reminder e-mail friday

I've had Skierd's tires and wheels on my car. They will fit with my drop.

I think I still have the measurements at home on my notepad, I'll check it when I get it again (today?).

grrrr....stupid rusted bolts. I'ma need some air tools to get those fuckers off. Other then that...I think I'm good with the install end of things, and I think I can figure out the height.

now if only I could find a shop in VT that did corner weighting....I'd be golden!
