Default Reminder for those with K-sport coilovers. (AND other sus/brake mods)

Well, being as I figure others should learn from misfortune...

It's that time of year again, the time when it gets slippery, snowey, or rainy. (In the states at least) So you should probably do yourself a favour and check your screws, bolts, and rings on your coilovers. I checked my rings today and two were loose again and needed to be tightened.

I also needed to tighten up the sway bar mounting as it had come loose and was causing the bolt to scrape against the rim of my tire and make some seriously frightening noises. :shocked:

Although I'm guessing most people don't need a reminder, as they're not ditz's like I am. ^^;

Good advise for anyone who's performed a modification to any suspension or brake part! As someone who had their rear caliper come off their car once due to putting everything back together in the dark and not checking the torque on the caliper bolts, its always a good idea to come back the next day or after a good long drive and check over your work.

I think I might sticky this one...

I had my right caliper fall halfway off a few weeks back. O.o If it's not one thing, it's another it seems. However, it wasn't my fault. I'd guess that it was the shop who replaced the brake pads and rotors...but that was done several months ago. Good news though: The KVR pads were stated as being 'like new' and the person who replaced the bolt didn't believe me when I told him they were several months old. ^-^

good advise, and to add. if you plan on driving your lowered/sway-bared car in anything other than rain, make sure you have snow tires.

You might want to put some anti seize on the sleeves if you live in a snowy enviroment

has anyone purchased the Kspec T&P Gold series coil overs? I got them but they did not come with the tool needed to adjust them. Is this normal or did they forget to send them.

i swear my ksport coilovers rings always came loose every other month.. if not sooner. So when ever I had to change brake pads.. I was always tightening them.
