Well for problems its the exact some problems only in reverse so your going to have camber, bump steer problems.

To put on 23's I have no idea how you will do it my 205/55/15s fill my entire fender your going to need to do severe chopping of then fender and still might not get it in there. I hope its a show only car no way that thing will remotely drive.

23's will rub on your suspension components badly and it will rub on the wheel well, the undercoating and the paint will be rubbed leaving nothing but bare metal...

you wanna put 23's on the car fine..it's your hyundai and I couldn't care less

a member here had 18's on his accent but the added unsprung weight just aint' worth it.

23's on a elantra will make it go slow, stop slow, have bad fuel economy cause the engine has to work harder to move those heavy rims, and i'll get bent easily, oh and shop's that do balance's either won't do it or will charge you extra for balance and rotation..

but if you wanna do it then do it..

get a bat and roll the fenders to make room,
if you're puting a air suspension..or are planning, i suggest you do so.

itll keep the car's high and prevent it from rubbing the wheelwell.

i assume this is only for show..

Get longer bolts and make spacers and use that to drop your supension mounts on the car. thus.. lifting it up.

Oh, and another thing.. they wont fit. 20's probally will, 22's.. eh no.

Chances are... If you go to a body shop, you can have your front and rear fenders rolled in order to accomodate your tires. You can also think about doing a body lift instead of doing a suspension lift. I'm going to assume you'll need a good 6" lift in order to install 23"s safely and in a way that lets you turn the front tires w/out rubbing.

First off it will not work as planned unless you're planning the total monster truck look or making a widebody kit for the elantra. That is unless you can find 7.5" or narrower 23" wheels, which I doubt, but possibly. The problem is that you won't be able to fit anything larger than about a 235 width tire between the strut and the body panel itself with absolutely no fender lip. So it will have to ride completely below the fender at maximum suspension articulation.

With 18" wheels at the stock ride height on my Accent I would "tuck" about 1-2 inches of wheel within the rear fenderwell at maximum travel. Just a quick calcualtion says you would need those 2 inches plus 2 inches of tire, plus the difference in radius of 2.5 inches for a 6.5" lift to maybe clear the tires.

I say buy an old S-10 frame and do a chassis swap.
