nothing major, just changing the break shoes, and sdjusting the e break cable. could it be that the drums need to be turned or the hoes gome already?

Have you adjusted the drag screw in the drum? Your shoes need to slightly drag against the drum. If not then do that.

I have no problem setting the e brake on a hill and know it its not going to go anywhere I think I get maybe 3 or 4 clicks on the ebrake handle and thats as far as it will go...

When I had them set too loose I was getting 6 or 6 clicks and the car would still roll on a hill ebrake up and all.

i think your problem is the 17inch rims..

think about it..small drum brakes..big wheels,

the big wheel's are putting a big load on the brakes..

my car only needs 5 clicks to park the car..
my advice to you is to get some lighter smaller rims'

TAK,

I have my doubts because if your stopped you could have 50 pound rims or 5 pound rims the brake does not have enough clampping force on the drum remember the rear wheels do nothing on this car their only along for the ride. It sounds like a mis-adjusted drag screw. Thats what adjust the clamping for the rear shoes have against the drum.

OK, let me rephrase this a little. When the e break is on, the car will not go any where. When i am driving and i want to pull up the e break the car slows a little but not enough to lock up the tires.

Now are you guys talking about the break shoe adjuster as the drag screw?
