My cabin is right on the cowlitz. But thats up in packwood. Grandma's on the pyuallup. Remeber last year in november when we had all that rain? Those pictures on the front page of The News Tribune that were taken by helicopter were of my grandmas house. The water was 7 feet deep and it left 4 1/2 feet of mud. And i got to drive a bobcat for a week straight! woo!

I-5 is closed in both directions in 2 places and 410 is closed as well. Raining here. School could be closed tomorrow in some areas (is already).

Yeah, your work is in a poor location. Low altitude and asphalt everywhere doesn't let much soak in.

This is from another forum, basically at the bottom of the dirt road, where I took Wilbur shooting out west of Centralia...

the river used to come in at the top right between the long shed and trees then flow out the bottom right of the picture. Poor steve has 3' of water in his driveway.

The concrete bridge we crossed right after leaving the 1 gas station town is washed away.

Yeah not to mention that most of the south seattle area was built on an old landfield, so if it rains hard enough like last year and the water lines cant take it pipes break and than we have old garbage floating down the street! Thats what happened last year around this time, it was kinda funny but at the same time it was also washing out our gravel driveway so some of us were wondering how we were gonna get outta the parking lot!! LOL!!

Back in the early 1900's when Seattle had been under sea level for some of the city, if a bunch of people flushed their toilets at the same time up on the hills, the low end would flood.

According to the Seattle Underground, that has been done. Now, Pioneer Square (where the underground still exists) does not flood. It does if there is a bunch of rain and water isn't draining right.
