IMPORTANT

My pistons are burning oil and I need a new clutch. Might as well get a new engine. I want to do the engine swap ASAP. Please, please, please help me. I need someone that will actually do a good job in swapping engines. I'm low on cash, but I'll reward labor with lots of beer and/or cigarrettes, whatever it takes... I NEED HELP.

I'll be at Busch Gardens this Sunday, so I can't go.

I looked into LKQ for a beta engine and it'll turn out to be way too much. I'll be spending easily close to 2 grand for everything. I can get a 1.6L DOHC for $350 with tranny and i would basically just plop it in. I might go that route.

STOP!!! dont get the engine from lkq. The engine will cost you $200 on ebay the tranny will cost you about the same. You should be able to get the engine, tranny, and wire harness for about 500 to 650. Then you find a friend that can install all for a six pack and your good to go. Or get the 4g63T and be the baddest bitch on the block!!!

i can't do that. LKQ is my best / affordable choice right now. I just called Stashu's for my upcoming appointment for the Porsche to basically rebuild the engine for just under a grand. So that will be my daily driver while i get the Hyundai fixed. Money is really tight for me right now. 350 for engine and tranny is good. Plus, I'll be upgrading from my 1.5L SOHC (81,000+ miles) to the 1.6L DOHC (27,000 miles). I know it's not much, but that about 15 more horses, newer engine and tranny.

There is a car show this saturday at the Publix near O.S.W. It starts at 8am and ends around 4pm. As long as there is no rain there should be a good turn out. I think we should meet there and go to the track right after. Maybe we can get recognized as a club. who's down?
