Default ABQ BBQ - Planning Phase...

Well, anyone from the Hyundai family is welcome, but I'm looking at having a big BBQ get together to celebrate the end of Summer here in ABQ (Albuquerque New Mexico), sometime in the next couple of months. I'm thinking the end of September, or the middle of October. If we do it in October, I'll make sure it coincides with the Albuquerque International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. Trust me, it's awesome.

As for Albuquerque, there are TONS of great restraunts, some frantastic clubs and titty bars, and several frantastic Casino's. That's right, Casino's. The ride for us all would be about an hour and a half to go up to the top of the Sandia Crest. Hobgoblin can attest, it's frantastic.

So, I'll have this posted here, RDTiburon.com, HA.com and NT.com. If any of you belong to other sites, please post there for them to come put in their opinions. The OFFICIAL poll will be on RDtiburon.com, but I will make sure that the decisions here will be included.

BTW, speed limits are 75 thru almost ALL of NM, so you can use that to figure travel times...

So far, I know Cysco, Hobgoblin, Faithofdragon, Speed-Factor, Rob (4DoorGL), and several others should be here. Good start.

I figured we'd do it here at my Apartment Complex or at one of the local parks. Have some fun, then do a group drive up to the Crest. Take some pictures.

It would have to be mid-October for me to be able to attend.

I've already commited myself to a racing event (drag, autocross and road racing) that will occupy the last weekend of September and the first 2 weekends of October.

I'd be very interested to do it during the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta though since I've never been to New Mexico and wouldn't mind seeing some of the "touristy" stuff while I'm there.

Would you guys be cruising by Vegas at all on your way? Or would it be advantageous to meet up in AZ somewhere and all roll to Albaturkey?
