i guess americ'as law enforecement isn't just limited to the crown vic, camaros, tahoes, and the impala..

but a Sti??
i thought USA use's car's from the big three..not the land of the rising sun.

of course, many are mock-up cars includin the tib...i think the charger will be the crown vic replacement..

I driven a cop car before..a VA state trooper..
it feel's like your average crown vic..except the radio garble, the labtop on the center and ballistic panels all around..
not to mention the ****load of radio and GPS equipment in the trunk
and a case loaded with Arms..

Most police officers swear by their Crown Vics...that car will never die as a cop car. Even though the new Charger Interceptor is faster, more maneuverable, and better on gas, the Crown Vic is alot roomier and comfier inside, which are the qualities that patrol officers need most.

My local Police Department had a last-gen F-body Camaro Z-28 for a long time as a regular patrol car. Then they got a Boss Mustang.

yeah we have the new chargers here too. but i've also seen new bikes for motorcycle cops. they look like crotch rockets but i thought they'd always be using harleys. any ideas? my friend's and i were trying to figure out what kind they were.

the charger's have poor dirver visibility..

the crown vic has immense room in the car and it fesl's like a genuine american car which it is, unlike the charger which has it's chassis form a early model mercedes e-class.

i just might buy a crown vic in the future,
they're cheap when they're decommisioned cop cars...and come with a free a-pillar mounted spotlight.

they're big, roomy, easy to drive, and rear wheel drive, and i can slap on the mercury marauder part's on it...and the occasional cop car look, with tinted windows and fake truck antenna with the Police interceptor badge..

oh, and the column shifter is one of the best i ever used..

we have all sorts of stuff here in VT - tahoes, crown vics, silverados, intrepids, avengers, a few older jeep cherokees, and impalas are replacing all the crown vics!

It'd be killer to see a charger police car in person - of course, not in my rear view mirror!

There's a charger cop car that hangs out at a intersection I pass on my daily commute. Man, those things look intimidating in police garb with the brush guard and all.

My mustang has a similar high beltline like the 300/charger and rear visibility is really bad. You can't parallel park it without getting out of the car to look, and when people tailgate you can barely see them. Those aren't qualities that would be good in a police car, but all the other aspects of the dodge are very solid. Whenever I have to break down and get a family car, the magnum is at the top of my list.

I read somewhere they use the Subarus in Washington state and some other places for poor weather areas. Dude...a decomissioned cop car prob. isn't a good idea b/c they've been ragged out hard core. They decomission them at 75,000 miles here.
