Thanks, I didn't take the vid, the previous owner did. It's a piece of this cars history and I am trying to find all the video that is out there on the car. There are more video's from the 2003 Shootouts Mike ran here in El Paso before parking the car.

Erica

I bought the Mustang 4 years ago. 6 months after buying the car we had a big shootout that had cars coming in from all over the region. The original owner who did the base build walked right past the car and didn't recognize it. I knew who he was because he was involved with a shop called Stricly Performance and had brought his new 84 Notch with the shop logo on it. On the way back to his car I called him over and he was shocked at what we had done to the car.

Full cage, tubular K member, tubular A arms, rebuilt the 302 to a 308 high compression engine, Twisted Wedge stage 4 heads, scat sheild, Spec III clutch assemly, Tremac 3550 5 speed, aluminum drive shaft, drive shaft loop, FMS Posi, Kohn hardened axles, C-Clip eliminator kit, Custom polished battery box relocate in rear, Drag launch springs, 90/10 Struts, 3 way ajustable shocks set at 50/50, APC Racing seats, stereo, MSD Digital 6, HVC coil, custom dumps, new MT Slicks, new MT ET Streets, and finally new paint job.

So tell me Erica, what is your analogy.

Whats next for the Tiburon, new paint job, after coolers, new custom tune on race fuel to see if we can produce the same HP with the after coolers on race fuel. Finally, extreme detail.

Why not toss the shit-ass-stupid stock manifolds on the tib. Why they used those pieces of junk is beyond me.. Its $175 for equal length mani's on ebay, ha. And please.. tell me your going to get rid of the bargin bin IHI turbo's? Some GT25r's maybe?

You know the heads dont flow worth a shit and neither do the manifolds. Porting and polishing with some BBTB's will give you more impressive numbers then a re-tune. Try running a small shot of no2, not for power, but for cooling the intake.

There, there is your help from the Hyundai community. Use it wisely.

And please.. do NOT try to fight with me, i spend all day rebuilding N14's and dealing with 65psi turbo daily drivers with 2600 ft lbs of torque.

I don't fight I respond. I am going to leave the car pretty much alone except for the after coolers and a tune on race fule. I am impressed with how it runs and the turbo lag is perfect for not munching the trannies.

A 10 sec Tiburon that looks and sounds like stock Tiburon except for the blowoff valve is pretty cool. I had the car sold to a local shop who runs a 7:52 all motor Mustang at national Mustang events, 3 supercharged and turbo charged Mustang and a couple of turbo Honda Civics.

Problem, once I started working on the car this past week I got a little attached. Car is going to paint on Wednesday to make it look brand new. I think I am going to just paint it black with the Hyundai logo across the doors and that's it.

I will post update pics of the car and once this car is cleaned inside and out, it will be a huge improvement on it's presentation to the public.

What are after coolers?

Kinda like afterburners, but cold?

Why even have a loud blowoff valve? Just have it recirculated and add a couple washers to silence it, and BAYUM, ultimate sleeper.

Do to the fact that there is not much room up front because of the fuel tank, the after cooler will mount directly into the boost tube right before the throttle body.

These coolers are used mostly with superchargers on Mustangs and Camaro's. These boxes are smaller than intercoolers and use an electric pump to move the fluid to cool the charge. Good for HP gains of up to 50 HP.

Why is there a fuel tank in front? Theres 2 seperate tanks? Why not have one in the rear seat area that feeds both? And then use intercoolers.

In the video of the Ultimate street car challenge you see a plastic red fuel cell in the back. After the challenge I guess Mike decided to put a stainless steel fuel cell in the front. Why, I don't know.

As for the after coolers, I like them because they are small an don't take up much room.
