Default 18's on a Santa Fe - What's the best offset?

Hello All,

I have an 02 Santa Fe V6 Fwd and would like to upgrade the wheels, tires, and supsension components. As of late all I can find are performance shocks/struts and lowering springs that would give me about 1 1/2" drop. What would be an ideal offset and rim width given that circumstance? (also if anyone knows of a coilover set applicable let me know!) I'd rather not have to roll the fenders or have anything rub...

If possible I'd like to have 255/50/18's. Does this sound like a step in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Eibach sells their Prokit for your vehicle. It would give you a 1.2" Front and rear drop. #4217.540. Let us know if you are interested in it and I'd be happy to check availability and pricing.

As for wheels and tires, what size wheels are thinking about running? Do you have a style in mind?

I'd like to run 18 x 8.5 with 255 or 265/50/r18's I like a little lip showing and am a huge fan of the split 5 stars that are o.e. on some Porche Cayanne's I've seen floating around. (in truth, they are my inspiration) I was hoping Eibach would have a more aggressive drop than that available but it sounds good if nothing else is available. I had great results with them on my Supra paired with Tokico shocks. Let me know the price you'd be willing to sell the springs for.

Thanks,

Trevor

Hey Trevor, I'll PM you a price on the Eibachs. For wheels take a look here. Let me know if anything interests you. With your drop you're going to want to be pretty specific with the wheels width and offset. My guide indicates an 18x8 with an offset in the 38-42mm range with a 255/55R18 would fit like a glove. Wider than that, you may need to make some modification.

Is the Voxx MG3 the style you are looking for?
