2004 Elantra shifting hard

I just replaced the spark plugs and wires due to rough idle. Its been shifting hard from 1st gear to 2nd gear. Now its starting to kick while trying to shift gears. Im not sure on whats wrong with. The check engine light is on but its mainly telling me about O2 sensors and the intake manifold sensor.
Its also an automatic transmission.

Have you checked your transmission fluid? How many miles?

Ok. I personally think the transmission is going out. If there is no slipping then itís not the toque converter. It must be something internal.

Im not sure what slipping would feel like. But if the transmission is going out thats amazing. I still owe 1200 on the car.

Slipping would be like it doesnít engage gears and the revs are higher than usual when accelerating hardish
