I have a 2000 Tib with the base spoiler.
Exactly like the one in the link

The Light no longer goes on (Braking)
I have checked the harness clip under the plastic panel underside of trunk lid. Everything is fine.

My first guess is that the LCD light cluster may be burnt out?

So my question is.
1. how do you remove the red LCD spoiler light assebley?
2. IS there other steps I should check to see if it is something else? I have checked all fuses that I think the light would run under and they seem ok (Does anyone know the exact fuse I should inspect?)

Help please?

FYI,

You can remove the 3rd brake light by removing 4 screws on the underside of the spoiler. BUT, the 2 of the screws are almost imposible to remove (unless you remove the whole spoiler) because part of the red plastic covers the actual screw and you can't get a screw driver into the screw head.

Solution, I used a dremel to shave off the plastic that was over the screw.

Also, the whole light assembly does not come apart. Its all glued together. My problem was that the actual wires had broken off from the actual circut board itself.

Also, the wiring is a bitch to remove and replace. If you are fortunatly enough to leave the original wiring in place, do so.

This crappy piece is expensive to replace.
