Hey im also planning on getting a turbo for my 05 accent prettty soon. Ive heard that with stock internals its best to run on around 8 pounds of boost. As far as a turbo im looking at a stage three HKS turbo.
nah, i had to use 2 flanges to get the clearance for the turbo due to bad measurements on my part. so im only using, at best, half of the exhaust opening into the turbo. that's the restriction i'm referring to.Originally posted by beppomarx

i am taking a wild guess here....
by restrictive you mean that you are using a stock scoupe turbo. or at the most a t20.
this turbo is spooling far FAR before peak torque.

Dude...I asked the same question no more than a month or so ago...did you even use the search function?supralight said:Hi, what is the maximum boost a 1.6L DOHC can handle if I keep the 10:1 compression and stock internals? Of course I will use a program to retard timing and all.
My real question is what is the maximum reliable boost I can get.
Also, what turbo do you recommend me? I think that the garrett T25 might be the best. Thank you.
