I have a 96' Accent. I won an ebay bid for a 1.8 Beta motor. Now, I have to fit the motor in my car. I know posts have been up for the Beta swap; but not the 1.8. So anyone that knows of this swap, do the motor mounts fit?Can I still keep my tranny with a performance clutch? Any problems I would run into while doing this swap? where do u guys find this stuff on ebay? all my searches ever turn up are HID lights and guages <img src=/images/forums/snitz/tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> yet here, we got a whole beta motor? where should i be looking?

I don't know, maybe I just got lucky? I typed in Hyundai Elantra and the motor was there! It was only $499.00! It only has 17k on it! The thing that surprised me is that nobody else even bid on it besides me!? Oh well, saved me some cash. Anyway, hope you find better stuff.

you need a new axle, ecu and tranny also, don't forget that.

The swap will be the same as with the 2.0L Beta. From the exterior the engines are identical.
