You could swap in the Turbo motor from the older eclipse (damn i forgot the number). Its a pretty popular swap among the early excels <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

Yo Yo; what's up Gregs25; I Chris19 J/K; anyway, hell yeah! You could definately do the older Eclipse/Talon/Laser turbo swap! Older Hyundai's used Mitsubitshi motors, which means some parts counter act with eachother. I'm not too sure about all the details, but go to Hybrid Forum, scroll through the posts and find the swap post, it'll tell you everything you need to know that people already asked. I have a 92 Excel. I dont know about the 94, but the 92 has a mass air flow sensor that sits inside the air filter which makes the cone filter impossible without complicated reconfiguration (complicated to me, anyway). There was a post here somewhere about it. The best places I found for mods was www.hve.com.au in Australia, and www.sharkracing.com which I think is starting to carry HVE stuff here in America. Dont forget about everything else that you'll need like the fuel system and axles. I was going to go for the swap myself, but it's not feasible for me, so I'm getting a 97 Accent. Good luck.
