it should be the same but how the engine sits is different. it's more tilted back.
1999 Sonata
Anybody know if the engine code from the 4cyl sonata is the same as the tiburon??? and are there any performance parts at all i can get or anybody could recomend for me. i could really use the help. thanks.8D

A 1999 4 cyl Sonata is a 2.4L Mitsubishi engine. The Tiburon uses an all-Hyundai 2.0L Beta.
Two completely different engines.
Hyundai actually just stopped using the Mitsu 2.4 engine this year.
