first of all, does anyone here have tilt-steering on their tib? I pull the lever down under the steering wheel and I cant get it to move???? second..has anyone installed new pedals? How much of a pain-in-the-ass is it?
aha! i have/done both... never had a problem with the tilt... would have to look at it to diagnose, and as far as pedal covers go, I ripped the ones i had off of my escort to use and they fit perfectly except for the gas pedal because of how thick it is...
i also have/done both. you need to pull the lever towards you and push up or down on the wheel to get it to move. It's not like real easy to move (the wheel) right away, but once you get it, it'll move really easy.
I have indiglo pedals and the only problem i had was the clutch kept pushing the pedal off when i pushed it in, and then it kept falling off. It was suck a pain in the butt. So, I put the rubber piece back on the clutch so it would be higher off the actual pedal and now everything is fine. It doesnt move at all either on the pedal because of the rubber, too.
yeah redshark,,,that gas pedal is what I dont see happining...the pedals ive seen for sale have some kind of bracket assembly that clamps on to the existing metal pedals...but that all-plastic crappy gas pedal looks like a challenge to convert. What kind of pedal do you or anyone else recommend as far as ease of installation...(i dont like working on cars ) and im not into "indiglo" stuff either
