I've looked over this car for a few months now. It doesn't seem apparent that there is any simple way to route accessory wiring from the engine compartment to the interior of the car (preferably where the auxilary switches would go just below the vents).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Look where the wires go in from the engine to the interior. Then you should be able to stick them in that way.
