I have the same question, if the air resevoir is taken off and NO performance filter added will this change anything? Wil it be bad for the car?
I had it off for a while, it makes the car sound cooler. but i put it back on incase the car needs it.

what is i were to attach some hosing the the filter box and bring it down to the front of the car, say behind the rad(like where the car draws air right now with the air resivoir on) would that be ok. The reason i am asking is cause i think that the resevoir is decreasing and restricting the passage of air. that is why i want to remove it.

I don't want to put a cold air intake on, I just want to work with what i have.

Thanx for the help!<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

but i don't think facing the hosing straight foreward would be a good idea. Since the rain water and road dirt would be shot right in.(possibly leaves or paper that would block the filter) It is probably best to face it to the side so that it is not directly facing oncoming debris.

Thanx for the help and the swift responses <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
