Well personally I think the tiburon is the best sporty hatchback out there. Before I bought my 2001 tib, I test drove a celica and a ford ZX2.

CELICA:
I was dissapointed with the interior of the celica...all the controls were flimsy, hell I couldnt even get the damn air vents to point to my face..., There is NO leg/head room whatesoever. The celica does ride good and has very good acceleration with that vti engine. The leather interior is pretty sweet also (red/gray two-tone with black mesh.) It has very tight precise steering also...its a fun-to-drive car...but personally i think its overpriced (like all toyota vehichles) and those controls are just terribly designed

ZX2:
The ford zx2 is not very sporty looking (actually its just plain ugly) and the dash is all one piece..IE you cant just pop out the cd/tape player and pop in a new one...the a/c controls and everything else is all one piece...it sucks.

TIBURON:
The Tiburon is pretty much perfect inside and out. Its got enough room for me 6'1" tall/220lb. The conrols are nice and big and solid, the leather interior is very nice looking with the gray/black two-tone...The silver bullet style controls are awsome looking. My only complaint is that the sunvisor is kinda flimsy and wont stay in one place. Theres lots of leg/head room. It rides like a goddam cadillac, it gets good gas milage, Its got some power, and of course you cant beat that price. last night i was on the interstate going about 110mph with a freind of mine..and i was still accellerating at a little more than 5000 rpm.

I would recommend the Tib to anyone, its a sweet ride
I bought my tib for under 14,000 (i had a $2,000 trade-in)
