For anyone who wants a "short stack" intake just go buy a 92-95 Civic REGULAR intake. Cut 2-3" off the filter end depending on brand and you have an intake for your Elantra for $60 or so. Yes it will fit both GLS & GT. It even has the connector for the pcv system hose. I cut mine so that the factory cool air pickup which comes from the fender goes DIRECTLY into the filter end since my filter is an open end design.

Hey cool short ram idea :) . We used to use 94 civic sort tubes in 97/98/99 tibs before there was an after market, The civic intake idea laso works on autos if the tube is 2.5" and is the short tube.

The KORE short 2001 elantra intake is done. it fits 5 spd and should fit the auto as well. Gives great throttle response and a real feelable(my word) gain in horsepower and adds a distinctive growl to the car under hard acceleration. Comes with tube, filter, hardware and you choice of silicone connector in red, blue, or yellow. Retail is $ 99.00 Got it on my personal car right now.........

thanks
dan

Yep, looks familiar. Before I put the KORE CAI on my 2001 GS back in Oct. 2000 I had an blue Injen 92-95 Civic intake on my GS. I sold it though to a guy I work with since I wanted the CAI. I paid $90 for it at a shop in Rockville. That's why when I popped my hood on my GLS I knew it would fit.
