I just bought a 2001 Tiburon and im new to this site to bare with me here cuz i got no clue what im doin..lol...

neways, i just bought my tiburon and im lookin to do some mods on it, i just hit 3000kms on it and i already have a good problem.. well 2.. but the one might just be normal...
the first of my problems is the revs dont seem to be climbing or dropping fast at all (now im comparing this to my porsche 944 which i was driving b4 i bought the tiburon)... this just might be stock i dont know let me know.
Secondly, which is definatly a problem, i like running my car hard, and i notice when i come to a stop often my car seems to be idling at 2000rpm and dosent drop unless i tap the gass a bit and play with the clutch and gas to make it fall... now wtf????!?! that aint normal is it??

i want to get a new light weight flywheel to make the revs clib and fall better, will this help my problem out or is it even worthwhile to do so? and where can i find one cuz i cant seem to locate anything for my car??

also what other mods can i do besides turbo and superchargers which will not void my warrenty but give me better power and cornering ability.

help me out guys....

thanx ; )

First off, welcome to the board. Secondly, I suggest waiting couple more thousands kilometres before you go ahead and install all those parts.

Also, keep in mind that there is no such thing as an after-market part that doesn't have the potential to void your warranty. (by the way, sorry to flame you, but it's WARRANTY, not WARRENTY)

If you install an after-market part and that part has done some damage or created problems in your car, the warranty will not cover that repair. Of course, this needs to be proved by the dealership and often, if you have a good relationship with the dealer, sometimes they make exceptions.

The problems that you are having, I am sure that no dealer will look at it until your engine "breaks" in. So I would say wait until your first oil change and then bring it up to their attention.

Anyways, good luck and enjoy your ride. Also, make sure you do a search in this forum before you post your questions. If the topic was brought up before, then they will lock your post.

also id still in the future like to do some modifications to my car. what can i do besides turbo? all i can find is big throtle bodies, air intakes, and suspension mods (outside turbo), is that really all there is for tibs? i sure hope not!
