The site I found these pics on referred to it as an "Accent GLX" model. Upgrades include:

-standard rear spoiler
-5-spoke alloy wheels
-color coded door handles, mirrors, and side trim
-Kenwood CD deck
-leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob
-security system
-interior facelift
-"tweaked" ECU

Not sure if this car will ever see the U.S.'s soil though.

don't like it... looks too much like the Sonata. The grill and eveyrhting seems to be taken off that car!!!

but for the colour coded sh!t, it's all good, then th owners wouldn't have to get it done themselves!<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>...

yeah what about the engine.

Just picked up a 2002 GSi today and they are the same as last year. So no changes for the 3-door model, I don`t know about the 4- door though.

All I have to say to anyone considering the base model, drive the GSi! The difference in price is worth the performance and features you get with it.

And I actually find with that the car is much easier to drive in traffic because there is a lot more low-end torque so you don't have to keep slipping the clutch to move along in traffic.

I have driven a '93 Elantra and that car with the 1.6 had zero low-end torque. It was fun once you got the revs up but just no fun to drive in stop and go.

The Accent GSi seems to have both, performance and driveability. Plus the Sunroof and Standard CD player are nice too.

i was hoping to test drive one maybe this weekend .. (just found out this week that they were in stock).

i'd be just as happy without the sunroom but what about brakes? .. 4-wheel disks ? *crosses fingers*
