Dont' know for sure, but I've seen that picture before, and someone debunked it, saying it was a photochop of a Tuscani coupe with a Saab convertible.

Seeing it in a magazine changes my mind slightly. Hyundai had a prototype convertible first-generation Tiburon, too...and you see how many of THOSE were produced.

For one thing... The headrests are in no way like the 2003's.

Second... The 2003 doesn't even have headrests for the rear passengers.

Third... The headrests appear to be different between the two above pics.

Check out my review on the 2003 on the Hyundai Club of Ontario's web page...

More in particular:

Clever photochop...

ive been researching tiburons for at least a year. ive read in like 4 or 5 different places, including a hyundai company site, that they are going to make a convertable in 2003. i totaly believe it. theyd be crazy not to! do you have any idea how well those would sell!? and as far as the headrests go, they might be specifically for the cabrio. i think its real and looks nice as hell.

I got a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon on Friday July 13 2001. My only problem with my car is, wait, i dont have any problems. I d*$k on every car ive raced, including mustangs, passats, jettas, caprice, lancers, civics, accords and more, with only a cone filter

If it is a photochop it is a damn good one
It does look sweet in a convertable though

Well...if the convertible does exist, then fantastic. Something just struck me while looking at the photochopped photo if any of you are interested in checking out.

The little picture of the blue tiburon is exactly the same as the one in motion on top....if you look very closely at the perspective of the car, shading directions are exactly the same....someone is very good at photochopping..

It's fake. Don't count on seeing soft top Tib in US or Canada, although it might nice to have one
